Universal Stylz launches new site
Denver, CO: December 2009 - After several months of development, Linear Method has successfully completed a new website for their client, Universal Stylz. The client company wanted to clearly address three customer segments on the new website. The old site was focused on a narrow segment of their total market. They felt many users were left wondering if the company could serve their needs. The solution, devised by Linear Method, was to develop a website with three separate sections, each targeting a different type of customer. With several unique customer segments, it was determined that this approach was the best method to address each user more directly without alienating anyone.
One of the design goals was to create a layout providing consistency between the customer segments and the overall site. However, different colors and styles were utilized in each section so there was still an obvious sense of grouping.
A single CMS section was utilized allowing any page in any section to be easily updated with the same tool. Styles were automatically set depending on which website section was being updated. This easily maintains the individual looks of each section. In addition, specific modules were added to allow for easy management of more complex sections such as the products. As a new item is uploaded it can be easily assigned to one or multiple categories, indicated as a featured product to be promoted on the home page, and have specific galleries associated with the product.
