About the organization

Established in 1912, the Colorado Mountain Club (CMC) is non-profit organization devoted to connecting everyone who loves the Rocky Mountains, whether they work, study, or just play there. As the largest such organization in the country with almost 8000 members, their mission is vast: disseminate information, furnish facilities, facilitate experiences, and advocate preservation of this irreplaceable resource.

The website's impact

With such a vast mission, CMC needed a website that could accomplish great things. Their staff and volunteers, a force of over 500, conduct 4,000 wilderness trips yearly, attended by nearly 20,000 people. Sheer numbers dictated a unique and strategic communication and organizational tool that could be used by both staff and their membership base. Linear Method gave them exactly that.
